New Feature - Australian ABA Transaction Export
A new data export format has been created.
This format will export all disbursement transactions within a specified date range to a text file matching the Australian ABA file format. This format is sometimes referred to as the Direct Entry format. This file can then be imported by the big banks in Australia for paying owners.
New Feature - New Zealand Westpac Data Export
A new data export format has been created.
This format will export all disbursement transactions within a specified date range to a text file suitable for importing into the Westpac New Zealand online banking system for paying owners.
New Feature - New Data Export Function
On the Information tab, there is a new menu item called Data Export. This screen is used to select one of the export functions, and to export the selected data as a file.
There are plans to create more export functions in future. Currently there is only one simple export function and that is a CSV file list of tenants.
New Feature - Bank Account Numbers
On the owner details screen, on the disbursement tab, you can now enter the owners bank account name and numbers. For Australians you can also enter the BSB number as well.
Also on the Functions/Setup/Options screen, on the Company Details tab, you can also enter your own bank account name and number.
There are plans to use these numbers further in future.
New Feature - New Depreciation Schedule Report
A new report has been created called the Depreciation Schedule report. This is found under Analysis Reports in RentHQ.
This report is similar to the existing Years Depreciation report, except it goes into a lot more detail showing purchase price, purchase date, accumulated depreciation etc.
New Feature - Save Database Backups to Dropbox
With RentHQ, when you do a database backup, you can now choose to save the backup to Dropbox.com. These files are automatically synced back down to your computer again by Dropbox.
New Feature - Rent Changes Log report
A new report has been created called the Rent Changes Log report. This is found at the bottom of the list of Tenant Reports.
This report will print a log of every tenants whose rent has changed during a specified date range. This can also include new tenants who are just starting.
New Feature - Quick search function
A new quick search function has been added to the top right corner of the main screen.
The quick search function allows you to type a short amount of information, and RentHQ will search all tenants, owners and properties for potential matches and will list them. You can then select one item from the list and it will take you directly to the tenant or owner or property details screen for the selected item.
For properties it searches the property code and the first line of the address.
For owners it searches the owners code and the owners name.
For tenants it searches the tenants code and the tenants name.
The resulting list will only display either the name or first line of the address, not the code, even though it may have found a match on the code.
New Feature - Selecting properties by manager
On the reports screen, for reports which offer a selection of properties, you can now choose those properties based on the 'Managed By' feature.
On the property details screen you choose a specific login in the 'Managed By' field. Then when printing reports, you can choose to isolate just those properties that are managed by a particular person.
New Feature - Email address for each login
In the security logins setup screen, each login can now have its own separate email address specified.
If a propertry is 'managed by' a specific login, then when an email is created which relates to that property, the email address for that login is used as the senders email address if it is provided. If one is not provided, it uses the companies default email address.
Currently this feature only relates to sending emails for work orders.
New Feature - Work Orders on the Property Screen
The property details screen has been enhanced to include access to work orders associated with that property.
